AI apps
Use your data in ChatGPT or Claude
Connect your own AI app to Workoutzone and ask it about your training: “How has my goblet squat moved since I started?”, “Am I running faster than a month ago?”, “Which sessions do I skip most?”. It reads your training log through the Workoutzone connector. It can’t change anything.
Connector address
https://api.workoutzone.net/mcp
You need a Workoutzone account with sync on (Settings → Account on your iPhone).
Claude
- On claude.ai or in the Claude app, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Name it Workoutzone, paste the address above and add it. Then choose Connect.
- A Workoutzone page opens with a 6-character code. On your iPhone, open Workoutzone → Settings → AI apps → Connect, enter the code and tap Allow.
- The page moves on by itself and Claude is connected. Ask away.
On Claude’s free plan you can add one custom connector.
ChatGPT
- On chatgpt.com, open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Choose Create app: name it Workoutzone, paste the address above as the MCP server URL, pick OAuth for authentication, and create it.
- A Workoutzone page opens with a 6-character code. On your iPhone, open Workoutzone → Settings → AI apps → Connect, enter the code and tap Allow.
- Back in a chat, turn on Workoutzone from the tools menu and ask about your training.
Developer mode is available on paid ChatGPT plans. Menu names change from time to time; look for apps or connectors in Settings.
What it can and can’t see
- Can see: your logged workouts (sets, reps, weights, reps left, notes, and ratings on older sessions), your runs (time, distance, pace and each interval), your programs, goals, baselines and retests, your schedule, and your units, time zone and target pace.
- Can’t see: heart rate, routes or anything from Apple Health. They stay on your iPhone and never reach our server.
- Can’t do: change, add or delete anything.
The AI app is yours, not ours: what it keeps from your chats is up to its own settings and privacy policy. See Privacy → Connected AI apps.
Disconnecting
On your iPhone, open Settings → AI apps and tap Disconnect. Its access stops at once. You can also remove the connector in ChatGPT or Claude. Deleting your Workoutzone account disconnects every AI app.
